A boy!

Nancy had her 20 week ultrasound and the news is out...It looks like we are going to have...

A boy!

The ultrasound technician said she was 99% sure! Details on the ultrasound images were amazing. We were able to see things like the 4 chambers of the heart pumping in rhythm, the hemispheres of the brain, outlines of a few other vital organs...while the technician could measure clearly length of the femurs and humerus.

Knowing the sex of the baby gives a new focus and approach on things. Nancy and I are both starting to think about boy names (surely it'll take a while to come up with candidates, let alone to decide on one). Nancy is now less worried about eating foods with soy sauce (which is rumored to produce darker baby skin tone). These days I tend to imagine scenes of matchbox cars, playing catch, snowboarding rather than dressing up and playing with dolls (...although I had my share of dolls as a baby boy...)
